What is a Christian Boarding School?
Christian boarding schools provide the opportunity for children, teenagers, and young adults to reside on campus full-time, typically for 5 or 7 days a week, while pursuing their education.
It’s important to note that many parents typically cover their child’s tuition, as well as room and board expenses, as most Christian boarding schools (CBSs) are privately funded and not supported by state funds.
Some schools operate as non-profits, with significantly reduced fees thanks to donations and fundraising efforts. Some of these schools may also offer grants, scholarships, and financial assistance programs.
While not all medical or mental health care costs may be covered by your insurance, certain CBSs collaborate with insurance providers.
The majority of CBSs fall under the category of therapeutic boarding schools, specializing in assisting children with mental health or behavioral challenges.
These schools are categorized as Christian because they adhere to or were established upon Biblical principles. It’s important to note that students are not required to be Christian to enroll.
